Noah suspension update

Here’s an article from the Tribune with a little more info on the Noahgate situation.  Or should we call it NoahAdamsgate?

Based on Joakim’s comments I can’t quite tell if he’s actually sorry or just sorry he got in trouble.  I guess I don’t really care either way.  It’s nice to have somebody on the team who will shake things up a little bit and who cares if Ron Adams gets offended anyway.

Anyone out there have any thoughts on this would be scandal?

It isn’t a matter of Ron Adams being offended… Its a matter of Joakim maturing into the individual who will shake things up in an ultimately positive way. Ron Adams is thick skinned enough to not be petty but he also demands respect(i know too that Ron will not allow this incident to cloud his judgment regarding Joakim and his potential contribution to the team) … so based on the response of Joakim’s teammates there was more to this than a coach getting offended. He is young and this will be a learning experience for him. He will be of far greater value to the Bull’s on the court rather than in street clothes.

I posted this fairly early on in this whole scandal when information about it all was still dribbling out. I agree that it probably will help Joakim in the long run. I also read since this was posted that Noah and Ron Adams actually have a very good and close relationship, so I’m happy this happened with a coach he works well with.

I actually played for Ron in his collegiate coaching days and it is no surprise to me that he would take a young man like Noah under his wing. He’s good that way. Again, I am certain that this matter is past and it will only help Noah to become a more mature individual as well as a better bball player.

I’ve grown to love blogging because of connections like this. Ron Adams is rarely interviewed or written about so more or less all I know about him is what kind of hair cut he has. This platform allows someone who knew him personally to comment on and straighten out our opinions about his character.

The reason I wrote in the previous comment that Noah and Adams are close is that I read that in an article that also said Noah had holiday dinner with Ron and his family at their house. I looked for the article to put a link here but I couldn’t find it anymore. Sorry.
